04/10/2002   To avoid unnecessarily large PDF filesizes, please note the following when scanning documents or images to file via EFS.
The recommended scanner resolution settings are: 
·        100 dpi for colour documents
·        200 dpi for black & white documents

These settings will generally result in relatively smaller PDF file sizes, without compromising on the clarity of the documents. You may then view the resulting PDF file on your PC and, if necessary, further adjust the resolution and rescan, until you achieve the desired level of clarity.
