EFS Front-End Client Setup: Quick Reference

 

To install/reinstall FE (Web) Client

 

Pre-Requisites

 

None

FE (Web) Client, Acrobat 7 or 8, Microsoft JVM.

 

Installation Steps

 

1.

Install Adobe® Acrobat® software (version 7 or 8)

Note: Adobe Acrobat Version 7 or 8 (Standard Edition) - not the freely available Adobe Reader - is required on each EFS-FE PC in which court documents and replies (PDF files) are generated or viewed, or draft submissions to Court are prepared.

 

1.

 

If you’ve installed Acrobat 7 or Acrobat 8, download Acrobat Plug-in for FE Client (311 KB) and install it according to these instructions.

2. If you’ve upgraded your operating system to Windows XP SP2, download the FE Patch for XP-SP2 (1 KB) and install it according to these instructions.

Download and install Front-End (Web) Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Patch Client.

Note: Follow the instructions provided at the website to download and install the Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (JRE) software. At the end of your installation, perform a verification by following the instructions given at the website.

 

 

3.

Download and install the latest Front-End (Web) Client Release 1.8 (Full Install, 3 MB).

Note: You may refer to the FE (Web) Client setup guide for more details. During the setup, you will be prompted to provide the following information.

·          Software Registration Serial No. (found in the EFS Registration Notification letter sent by CrimsonLogic)

·          Disk Drive where temporary files will be generated during the FE processing

 

 

4.

If you’re using Windows XP SP2, download the FE Patch for XP-SP2 (1 KB) and install it according to these instructions.
