How to Compose/Preview the new Document Information Page (aka “Cover Page”)
When you compose a Document Information Page (“DIP”), the details entered in the current submission are used to prepare the default DIP template and shown in Compose view (tab). You may then further edit the default DIP format as needed (refer to instructions below), and verify the changes in Preview view (tab) by seeing how the actual DIP will look like when auto-generated by the court. When you’re satisfied with the DIP format in the preview, then you may save the DIP for the document being filed, as well as for subsequent reuse. For subsequent documents filed for this case, you may just preview the DIP (which has been saved earlier) and proceed, if no changes are required.
Do note that any changes in party details made during “Compose DIP” will only affect and be reflected on the DIP (for this and subsequent documents filed). Changes will not affect and save into the submission being filed (and/or the case file).
1) Parties in the Case
This section shows (one or more) “IN THE MATTER OF…” (ITMO) paragraphs and the list of parties in this case (for which this filing is being made). You can enter a paragraph (not exceeding 500 letters) in each ITMO text box. Clear the text in the ITMO box, if no ITMO paragraph is needed for your DIP.
Parties shown here are loaded from the last-saved cover page (if any) or from the submission (or case file) being prepared. You can change the default sequencing of the individual party records or party type groups, as required.
In the event that you have made changes in the party details of the submission and you wish those changes be reflected on the DIP, then you may click Load Submission Parties button to re-load all party details from the submission (using the default ordering).
2) Parties in the Originating Case
In this section, you may enter (one or more) ITMO paragraphs, as well as the parties involved in an originating case. You have to type in the parties, one record per line in the format – “Name (ID)” – as you would normally do on the previous cover/backing sheet.
If no originating case details are needed on the DIP, you may clear the option Show this Originating Case section on the cover page. If you require party details of an originating case to be displayed on DIP, then keep this option checked. Clear the text in the ITMO box (if any), if no ITMO paragraph is to be displayed for an originating case.
3) Filing Law Firm Details
This section displays a solicitor name (representing the first filing party), Name/Address/Contact Numbers of the firm, and File Ref No., which have been extracted from the submission. You may make any amendment as required.

Useful and Important Information on Document Information Page
· WEF 10 January 2005, the new DIP page(s) will be auto-generated by the Court. Therefore, you do not need to include any cover page(s) and backing page(s) in your PDF document(s), if you file via the Front-End application. However, when filing documents to Court via a CrimsonLogic service bureau, you still need to include the cover page in your document(s), which must be prepared using the new DIP format.
· The same DIP format will apply to all documents in the same submission. Thus you need to compose the DIP, only once per submission.
· EFS filing fees are estimated by assuming that one (1) additional DIP page is needed for each document filed (to be generated by the Court). The actual no. of DIP pages (and corresponding fees) will be determined and shown in the Court Reply, and may be more than the estimate.
